Before flashing custom rom you should know these:-
1-you'll loose your warranty
After flashing custom roms you'll loose your warranty because of root but nowadays most of the company allow you to root your device.
2-you'll need custom recovery
Be sure that you have successfully rooted and installed custom recovery.
3-your device may be bricked or dead
You should be sure that what are you doing?do have any knowledge about flashing custom rom if not go and learn first either you will bricked your device.
4-you have to be ready to face bugs and errors
You should be know that is your custom rom is stable and bugless,if no then do some research on it because there are so many bugs inbuilt by default because of improper coding in source building.
5-why do we need to install it?
Because it is much faster and better than you stock,it is lighter,it consumes less space.
6-what about battery performance?
Well i'll not say that every custom roms have good battery backup because some roms consumes more power because of there customization and some comsumes less.
7- what about ram management?
Well you'll always get better ram mangement than your stock rom.
Well most of the custom roms are based on CyanogenMod and Android open source priject(Aosp), CyanogenMod is basically an upgraded or modded version of Aosp
9-Is all custom roms are good?
No,most the custom rom are not good because of there performance some are officially made and some are unofficially (ported from official) thats why official have less bugs than unofficial
10-what to do before flashing custom rom?
First of all just make a backup of your stock rom so if you cause any bootloop then you can restore it.
